After dominating the global charts, reggaeton superstar J. Balvin joined the sneaker world when he teamed up with Jordan Brand back in 2020 on the multi-color tie-dye Air Jordan 1 High. Since then, we’ve seen Balvin work up the retro Jordan ladder in numerical order, dropping his take on the AJ 2 in 2022 and two Jordan 3s, one in 2023 and another in 2024. Since then, we’ve all been waiting for Balvin to reveal his next collab, which we all assumed would be on the Jordan 4. Our hopes were fulfilled when Balvin was spotted on stage with a new multi-color patchwork AJ 4. While DJ Khaled is now in possession of this 1-of-1 sample, Sole Retriever can confirm that J. Balvin will launch his own Jordan 4 come Fall 2026.
The pair features a faux croc skin upper doused in a single shade of lemonade yellow. Debossed logos replace the traditional embroidered look on the tongue, which retains the Jumpman branding, but back on the heel, Balvin adds his iconic smiley face logo on the right shoe. The left features the standard Nike Air logo, though it is also debossed into the leather.
An added lace dubrae in metallic silver breaks up the monochrome look, with the right shoe’s reading “Just Do It” and the left “Solo Hazlo,” which translates from Spanish to “Just Do It.” Inside sits a custom green insole with Balvin’s smiley face logo in yellow. Finishing the design is the tonal yellow midsole and outsole. Balvin’s inspiration for the pair comes from Colombia’s extraordinary biodiversity, specifically the endangered yellow crocodile.
The J. Balvin x Air Jordan 4 Retro Amazonas will be released September 28, 2026 through J. Balvin’s online store. Expect a wider release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers online and in-store on October 2.
